Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an International Order Clerk to join our Customer Service team in the office Monday through Friday, 7:30 am until 4:30 pm. The International Order Clerk is responsible for processing orders from the international offices.

Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis.

This position will process orders submitted from international offices. Maintain ongoing communication regarding back ordered parts between the office, shop, and customer. Check part availability and work-in-progress (WIP) status. Investigate lead times for standard and custom parts (CP parts). The position also involves reviewing and processing change requests or cancellations for parts orders, coordinating with shipping clerks and shop personnel as needed. Service or engineering-related questions are directed to the appropriate teams. Creating correction orders for mis-shipped parts, and project or engineering part order requests are issued for international customers. Generate return material authorizations (RMAs). Also, communicating advance payment information to customers, matching payments to packed orders, and forwarding details to the International Shipping Clerk for processing. Parts quotations are provided to international offices and agents, and billings are created for consignment parts kept in the field. Investigate disputes for lost/damaged machine/parts shipments and process all necessary paperwork.

Qualified applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent math, organization, multi-tasking, and critical thinking talents. Strong computer skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of specific country required documents and shipping requirements. Manufacturing background is a plus.
