Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Data Analytics Strategist to lead and grow our data analytics function. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands‑on leader who enjoys turning complex data into insights that drive operational excellence and informed business decisions across a global manufacturing organization.

Urschel employee‑owners design and manufacture industrial food cutting equipment for customers around the world. The Data Analytics Strategist provides leadership and oversight for Urschel’s data analytics function. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders across the organization to understand data needs and deliver meaningful insights to establish data standards, develop automated solutions, and deliver high‑quality analytics that support business strategy, operational performance, and informed decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain enterprise data standards and governance practices
  • Design and deploy automated data collection, integration, and processing solutions
  • Build and manage data sets to support reporting, analysis, forecasting, and trend identification
  • Apply statistical methods, modeling, and analytical techniques to business and operational initiatives
  • Prioritize projects and manage timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Present data findings and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Recruit, lead, and develop analytics team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, statistics, engineering, or a related quantitative field required
  • Master’s degree in business or a quantitative discipline preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of managerial experience in data analytics or a related function
  • Experience developing analytics solutions in a manufacturing or operational environment preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data visualization skills
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Proven leadership and people‑management experience

This position is based at Urschel’s Corporate Headquarters in Chesterton, Indiana and requires full‑time, on‑site work.
