Frequently Asked Questions
The Little Gem Aspire™ Dicer is a new fruit and vegetable dicer invented by the Urschel Innovation & Development Team. It introduces patent-pending cutting methods to deliver precision cuts in a compact, easy-to-use design engineered for a low total cost of ownership.
The machine produces flat slices (2–20 mm) and strips or dices using the StatiCut™ Knife Assembly. Strip and dice widths start at 5 mm and can be widened up to 100 mm by removing StatiCut knives or creating custom patterns. Crosscut sizes range up to 20 mm.
The Little Gem Aspire™ Dicer is designed for a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables, including apples, beets, butternut squash, carrots, mangoes, onions, pineapple, potatoes, strawberries, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and zucchini. To explore the full range of products and cut types Urschel equipment handles, visit the Cutting Applications database.
This machine is purpose-built for produce processing operations. It is particularly well suited for the fruit and vegetable processing industry.
The StatiCut™ Knife Assembly replaces a traditional circular knife assembly. It provides the flexibility to produce different cut sizes and patterns without the need for large parts inventories, which helps reduce operational costs. Knives can be removed to increase cut width or configure custom patterns.
The machine measures 41.48″ (1054 mm) in length, 42.32″ (1075 mm) in width, and 62.15″ (1579 mm) in height, with a net weight of 620 lb (282 kg). It is driven by a 1.5 HP (1.1 kW) motor. Measurements may vary by configuration.
