Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has an opening for a Vertical Grinder for our 2nd shift operations working full-time Monday-Thursdays and may require working on Friday based on workloads.

Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.

A day in the life of a Vertical Grinder operates Blanchard grinding machines to grind a wide variety of flat surface parts and materials to specific dimensions. Sets up and operates vertical rotary surface grinders, and selects proper grinding segments, speeds, and feeds best suited to accomplish jobs. Uses fixtures, gages, and other measuring instruments to hold close tolerances.
