Starting Pay is $28.03/hour + 5% Shift Differential
Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has openings for CNC Lathe Machinists for our 2nd shift operations working full-time Monday-Thursday and may require working on Friday based on workloads.
Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.
A day in the life of a CNC Lathe Operator would machine features in all types of material, including castings and forgings, using CNC lathes and other machine tools. Understands CNC program codes and programs, has the ability to edit programs when necessary, and records all changes for documentation.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, two years machining experience, experience with precision gaging equipment, ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations, ability to solve math problems, and ability to read and interpret engineering prints and blueprints.
