Electronics/CNC Maintenance Technician
A day in the life of an Electronics/CNC Maintenance Technician is installing and maintaining shop machinery and equipment, including mechanical and control repairs, hydraulics, pneumatics, security equipment and production systems.
Tool, Die, Jig, and Fixture Maker (Internal Only)
Utilizes all manner of machine and inspection tools to machine and construct precision production tools ranging from: fixtures, dies, cutting tools, asset components, and complete Purpose-Built Assets. Assembles, maintains, and repairs all production workholding and assets to precision tolerances required to maintain their functional design and operation.
CNC Precision Machinist- 2nd Shift
A day in the life of a CNC Precision Machinist machines features in all types of material using CNC equipment and hand tools. Understands CNC program codes and programs, has the ability to edit programs when necessary, and records all changes for documentation.
Floating Operator – 2nd Shift
A day in the life of a Floating Operator performs a wide range of production jobs throughout the shop as assigned by production manager/department supervisors. Operate machine-tools, such as manual or CNC machine tools, hydraulic presses, parts markers, and cut-off saws.

A strategic technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing scalable, secure, and efficient ERP solutions. This role ensures Urschel’s ERP system is optimized to meet business needs, integrates seamlessly with existing IT infrastructure, and supports future growth.
Senior Solutions Architect
A strategic technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing scalable, secure, and efficient ERP solutions. This role ensures Urschel’s ERP system is optimized to meet business needs, integrates seamlessly with existing IT infrastructure, and supports future growth.
Senior Product Owner
A strategic leader responsible for overseeing the delivery, continuous improvement, and overall lifecycle management of Urschel’s ERP system. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, ensuring the ERP system not only meets current organizational needs but is also positioned to address future challenges and opportunities. The Senior Product Owner will also provide functional and technical support for the Epicor ERP system while driving improvements and enhancements to align with business goals.

Technical Illustrator/Writer
This position will prepare technical instructions and illustrations, parts lists utilizing engineering models, drawings, physical parts, previously prepared manuals, and proprietary BOM and other software programs.
Domestic Invoicing Clerk
Reviews shipped customer orders to ensure correct pricing, payment methods, and backorders, as well as managing invoices for all web/portal-based customers. Enters quotes and orders for project or engineering requests, processes invoices for credits, rebills, service calls, and service agreements. Maintains customer records.
No Bake Foundry Saw Operator
A day in the life of a No Bake Foundry Saw Operator starts with removing casting from the sand molds, and operates cut-off saw or plasma cutter to remove castings from gating systems and segregates returns for re-melt without alloy cross-contamination. Operates multiple types of abrasive finishing equipment and tools to straighten, inspect, and abrasive finish castings to Urschel quality standards and selects the proper grinding wheel and grit of sanding discs.

Local programs, such as the Porter County Career and Technical Center (PCCTC) and AK Smith Career Center, offer specific training to high school students interested in manufacturing, such as classes in Modern Machining Technology, computer-controlled machining (CNC), computer-aided design and machining (CAD-CAM), and quality control processes. Area programs offered at Vincennes University and Ivy Tech also offer manufactured-based technology classes and degrees. Urschel and the local career centers offer part-time work-study machining internships and Vincennes scholarship opportunities for students interested in a machining career.
