Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has openings for Production Control Analysts. The Production Control Analysts play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and executing the Master Production Schedule. This role is responsible for analyzing production data and then effecting schedules to synchronize production flow.  Analysts work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of work orders and optimization of equipment and personnel. The hourly position is not remote and will be required to report daily to the Corporate Headquarters in Chesterton, Indiana.

Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis.

This role is responsible for preparing and updating shop schedules, analyzing production data, and reporting key metrics such as delivery status, schedule adherence, and WIP inventory. The Production Control Analyst will work closely with Planning and Scheduling, Production Managers, Production Supervisors and Plant Leadership to develop master schedules, resolve bottlenecks, and implement workflow improvements. A strong focus on efficiency and continuous improvement is essential to help reduce lead times and optimize operations.

Two to five years of experience in production planning or Operations Management, with proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor a plus). Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is a plus. Must have strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and knowledge of planning principles like MRP and Kanban. The ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and routings is essential. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and cross-functional communication are key. Experience in fast-paced environments and familiarity with QRM, Lean, or Six Sigma is a plus.
