PropakCape 2026

Heat and Control will present recent Urschel developments during Propak Cape that implement innovative cutting methods for high-performing precision cutting. From October 27-29, 2026, see how the new Little Gem Aspire™ Dicer and MicroAdjustable® SL-14 Slicing Head bring unique solutions to food processing at Booth F68 in the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

With an array of cutting equipment, such as the Little Gem and SL-14, Urschel supports processors as their partner in productivity, providing ways to streamline output that optimize production and help meet diverse production demands. Propak Cape attendees are highly encouraged to visit Heat and Control at Booth F68 to learn more and discover the best operational fit for their line.

  • The Little Gem Aspire™ Dicer is a new Urschel cutting concept in produce processing. Engineered through extensive R&D by the Urschel Innovation and Development department, the compact dicer employs a patented StatiCut™ knife assembly and crosscut knife assembly to achieve slices ranging from 2 mm – 20 mm, dices up to 20 mm, and strip cuts. Named after the original Little Gem, the new dicer combines easy use with strong performance, expanding on its predecessor that led Urschel to become the global leader it is today.
  • With 14 cutting stations, the MicroAdjustable® SL-14 Slicing Head offers almost twice the capacity of the standard 8-shoe slicing head to maximize precision slicing. The flat slice cutting head features micro-adjustability plus quick-clamping technology to expedite knife changeovers with little to no tools required and without removing the head from the machine. The design incorporates carefully crafted spacing of cutting stations to maximize slice engagement. With its versatile slicing capabilities, processors can rely on the SL-14 to help optimize their potato chip line while lowering operational costs over time.
