Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has an opening for a Precision Grinder for our 2nd shift operations working full-time Monday-Thursday and may require working on Friday based on workloads.

Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.

A day in the life of a Precision Grinder sets-up and operates manual and CNC precision grinding machines to grind a variety of carbide, stainless steel, and bronze parts to specified dimensions. Set-up and operates honing machines and keyway cutters. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of different grinding wheels for cylindrical and flat grinding. The Precision Grinder interprets engineering prints and set up notes to determine fixturing needed, dimensional specifications, setup, and operating requirements.
