Overview
Washing, dipping and disinfection of lettuce, fruit and vegetables
The DS1000 mobile is a compact bubble unit and is used as an entry-level or additional machine. It is equipped as standard with an infinitely variable blower unit and timer control, four wheels with a parking brake and a basket holder for a standard spin basket.
Flexible application options:
- Cut lettuce as well as vegetables, fruit and herbs (whole or cut) are moved by the bubbling effect of the air blower and gently washed to a hygienically clean condition.
- Cut products, for example celery, potatoes or apples, can be dipped and simultaneously treated to prevent discoloration and extend shelf life.
- With the help of washing additives, whole vegetables and fruits are dipped and disinfected before processing to avoid possible cross-contamination.
The DS1000 mobile is available as a special version for washing products in crates (Euronorm 600 x 400 x 200 mm (23.6 x 15.7 x 7.9″)). The GEWA washing machines are suitable for washing higher capacities of lettuce, fruit and vegetables.

Highlights
Easy operation, cleaning and maintenance
The air intensity and the bubble time are adjusted via control dials. The open wash basin is quickly emptied. The basket holder and the bubble unit can be removed without using tools. No major maintenance work is required. The switch cabinet is sealed and therefore waterproof.
Draining table
When the basket is removed from the blower washing machine, it can be placed on the table to drain. The water is therefore returned to the DS1000 mobil. This saves resources, especially when washing additives are used.
