A day in the life of a Circle Knife Operator includes making repetitive cuts to acquire accurate dimensions on a variety of circular knives, operating multiple machines simultaneously. Uses circle knife lathes, serrators, and straighteners to accomplish jobs. Uses all necessary types of precision measuring and gaging equipment.
Qualified applicants must have a minimum of one-year work experience in a related environment with a high school diploma or equivalent. This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations, ability to solve math problems, and ability to read and interpret engineering prints and blueprints.
