Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Video Specialist to join our Media department at the corporate headquarters in Chesterton, IN.

Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.

Reporting to the Creative Solutions Manager, the qualified candidate will assist in the set up and teardown of lighting, grip, and camera equipment in a wide variety of video production environments. Assists in the operation of cameras and rigs during production. Adheres to structured formats during live productions. Strives to conduct filming that is in harmony with the schedules of test lab employees, customers, or domestic sales personnel. Maintains a high degree of proficiency with the operation and maintenance of all in-house video equipment. This position will report to Chesterton, IN when not traveling.

The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of an associate’s degree in media, AV, or a mass communications related field. The qualified candidate must have at least one year’s experience in non-linear editing, media authoring with camera and media/event production skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills coupled with ability to create presentations. Strong written, verbal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work independently with strong media related computer skills and be detail orientated. Travel is required both domestically and internationally, which includes overnight and extended trips.
