Primary Job Duties:

Assembles fabricated parts to build machines, calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and engineering specifications.  Uses all types of hand tools, fixtures, jigs, special gages, spot welders and some machine tools to accomplish jobs, holding precise tolerances. Programs variable frequency drives and runs-in completed machines, checks for correct clearances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, although other duties may be assigned:

• Plans machine assembly, picks necessary parts, and assembles according to specifications ensuring accurate fitment, including the installation of moving parts (i.e. shafts, levers, bearings, etc.).
• Includes proper lubrication assemblies and lubricant according to specifications.
• Tests and/or runs-in completed machines, checks for correct clearances and size of cut.
• Works closely with manufacturing and engineering when necessary.

• Education and/or Experience: Two years of Urschel experience.
• Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend instruction, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization, as well as to customers and/or vendors.
• Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to perform job by exercising proficient judgment, diligent attention to detail, and capable of comprehending written and/or oral instructions.
