Electronics/CNC Maintenance Technician Apprentice (Internal Only)

Summary: Attends set education curriculum with specific training courses, both on and offsite.  Shadows, assists, and observes current Electronic/CNC Maintenance personnel in all maintenance-related tasks.  Assists in inspecting, installing, replacing, and maintaining shop machinery and equipment, including CNC and PLC control and mechanical repairs, hydraulics, pneumatics, security equipment and production systems.  Must learn how to properly use gages, meters, instruments, and machine tools, as to how they relate to maintenance tasks. 

Hiring Criteria
Education/Experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial setting with machine operating experience

Necessary Skills:
• Ability to learn electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and piping schematics in order to aid in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repair of equipment
• Basic understanding of commonly used software associated with PLC and CNC controls
• Ability to learn how to use a digital multi meter
• Ability to solve math problems presented by jobs in this departmental skill level (add, subtract, multiply, divide decimals and fractions, use of percentages and ratios)
