Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has an opening for an Electronic/CNC Maintenance Supervisor. An Electronic/Maintenance Supervisor will lead a skilled team that maintains and repairs electronic control systems and CNC machinery. The role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime, supporting improvements, and upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis.

This role requires someone who can effectively coordinate the daily activities of a technical team, prioritize urgent maintenance tasks, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. The candidate should be well-versed in industrial safety standards, continuous improvement practices, and the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for scheduling and documentation. Strong communication skills, the ability to train and mentor technicians, and a commitment to quality and operational efficiency are critical. The CNC Electronics Maintenance Supervisor will also collaborate closely with production, engineering, and vendors to resolve complex equipment issues, manage spare parts inventory, support equipment upgrades or retrofits, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with regulatory and company standards. This is a key leadership role that directly impacts machine availability, product quality, and overall plant productivity.

The ideal candidate must possess 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance with emphasis on CNC machinery and electronic systems. 74 accredited hours in an Industrial Maintenance-related program or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in interpreting schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals. Experience using CMMS or other maintenance management software a plus. Strong understanding of CNC controls (e.g., FANUC, Siemens) and PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
