Starting Pay is $20.77/hour

Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, has an opening for a Custodian for our day shift operations working full-time Monday-Friday.

Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.

A day in the life of a Custodian maintains the overall cleanliness of the Chesterton Plant to include daily cleaning of the Urschel CrossCut Wellness Center/Gym including daily cleaning of gym equipment, floors, locker shower stalls, washrooms, and laundry (washing/stocking). Uses cleaning tools and products to create a sanitized working environment in miscellaneous areas around the Plant. Pick up miscellaneous supplies offsite as needed. Maintaining the beverage stations.
 
Minimum of one-month related experience with a high school education or equivalent. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, and complete tasks timely and efficiently.
