Comitrol® Processor Line    A full range of particle sizes suitable for blending or subsequent processing can be obtained from various plant sources for flavorings. Choose from wide selection of cutting head opening sizes for particle sizes larger than 1/64" (0.4 mm). Processing of spices is heavily dependent on individual product characteristics. Test cutting is highly recommended in one of our Test Facilities. Contact your local Urschel representative for more information. Use microcut heads for finest degree of reduction using 9,390 revolutions per minute impeller speed and 30 horsepower motor. Chop or grind product 1/4" (6.4 mm) or smaller and pump into the processor for minimum aeration. Low moisture content can be necessary for some spices. A preblending of al ingredients gives a finer powder if fatty spices are mixed in.

Model M6    3/16 to 3" (4.8 to 76 mm) squares from raw or blanched greens. Uniform distribution of leaves on the feed belt is essential for continuous production and prevention of crushing. Approximate hourly capacity is 1,000 to 3,000 lb (450 to 1,360 kg). Remove crosscut knife spindle to produce strips only.

Model J9-A    3/16 to 3" (4.8 to 76 mm) cuts. Distribute uniformly on feed belt to prevent crushing. By feeding the parsley stem end first, the stems will be thrown farther than the leaves and a separation of the two can be made. Approximate hourly capacity: 500 to 1,500 lb (220 to 680 kg).

Model L-A    1/4" (6.4 mm) cuts or larger. Separate and feed at uniform rate to prevent crushing. Approximate hourly capacity: 250 to 1,000 lb (110 to 450 kg).

Comitrol® Processor Line    1/16" (1.6 mm) or larger flakes for soups, seasoning and garnish. Feed whole or chopped parsley into suitable cutting head.
