Note: Hundreds of pounds per hour up to thousands of pounds per hour; capacities vary depending on condition of materials, method of feeding, and other variables. Where capacities are listed, it is assumed product will flow in a smooth, uninterrupted manner through an Urschel® machine that is in optimum condition. Capacities listed are an indication of potential results.

Below you will find our selection of collard processing machines. Each of the following vegetable cutting machines offers different kinds of cuts.


TranSlicer® 2510 Cutter  1/32 to 3/8" (.8 to 9.5 mm) shreds of controlled length from blanched product. Also 1/8 x 3/4 to 1", 1/8 x 3/4 to 1-1/2", 1/8 x 1-1/2 to 2", 3/16 x 3/4 to 1", 3/16 x 1-1/2 to 2", 1/4 x 3/4 to 1", 1/4 x 1 to 1-1/2", 1/4 x 1-1/2 to 2", 9/32 x 3/4 to 1", 9/32 x 1 to 1-1/2", 9/32 x 1-1/2 to 2", 9/32 x 2 to 2-1/2" (3.2 x 19 to 25 mm, 3.2 x 25 to 38 mm, 3.2 x 38 to 51 mm, 4.8 x 19 to 25 mm, 4.8 x 25 to 38 mm, 4.8 x 38 to 51 mm, 6.4 x 19 to 25 mm, 6.4 x 25 to 38 mm, 6.4 x 38 to 51 mm, 7 x 19 to 25 mm, 7 x 25 to 38 mm, 7 x 38 to 51 mm, 7 x 51 to 64 mm) shreds. Maximum infeed dimension is 8" (203.2 mm) in diameter.

TranSlicer 2000® Cutter    1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or 1" (3.2, 4.8, 6.4, 13, 19, 25 mm) shreds and slices from blanched product. Maximum infeed dimension is 6" (152.4 mm) in diameter. Use optional hold down assembly, wide belt.

Model M6    3/16 to 3" (4.8 to 76 mm) squares from raw or blanched greens. Uniform distribution of leaves on the feed belt is essential for continuous production and prevention of crushing. Approximte hourly capacity: 3,000 to 7,000 lb (1,350 to 3,100 kg). Remove crosscut knife spindle to produce strips only.

Model J9-A    1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1 or 1-1/2" (6.4, 9.5, 13, 19, 25 or 38 mm) squares from raw or blanched greens. Use feed fingers between circular knives to ensure positive transfer of product. Uniform distribution of leaves on the feed belt is essential for continuous production and prevention of crushing. Capacity is 3,000 to 7,000 lbs. (1,350 to 3,200 kg) hourly for raw greens, and 8,000 to 10,000 lbs. (3,600 to 4,500 kg) hourly for blanched greens. Remove crosscut knife spindle to produce strips only.

Comitrol® Processor Line    A wide range of particle sizes suitable for soups, infant feeding and special diet requirements can be obtained from raw, canned or frozen greens. Choose from wide selection of cutting head opening sizes for particle sizes larger than 1/64" (0.4 mm). Capacity is 7,500 lbs. (3,400 kg) of 1/16" (1.6 mm) particles hourly using 5,634 revolutions per minute impeller speed and 17" cutting enclosure. Use microcut heads for finest degree of reduction at capacities up to 12,000 lbs. (5,500 kg) hourly using 9,390 revolutions per minute impeller speed and 30 horsepower motor. Chop or grind product 1/4" (6.4 mm) or smaller and pump into the Processor for minimum aeration.
