Note: Hundreds of pounds per hour up to thousands of pounds per hour; capacities vary depending on condition of materials, method of feeding, and other variables. Where capacities are listed, it is assumed product will flow in a smooth, uninterrupted manner through an Urschel® machine that is in optimum condition. Capacities listed are an indication of potential results. A summary of Urschel equipment is listed below for brief reference. For complete information, contact your local Urschel representative regarding your application.

Below you will find our selection of candy and confectionery processing equipment including candied fruit, chocolate cutting machines and other cutting equipment.

Model RA-A    1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16 or 3/8" (3.2, 4.0, 4.8, 6.4, 7.9, or 9.5 mm) pieces for bakery, confectionery and dairy applications. Input size should not exceed 3-1/2" (90 mm) in any dimension. Light spray of water or release agent will prevent sticky accumulation on knives and other contact parts.

Comitrol® Processor Line    1/32 to 1/4" (0.8 to 6.4 mm) granules for rapid rework, ice cream additive or other ingredient uses. Feed whole or broken pieces up to 1-1/2" (38 mm) in any dimension into cutting heads. Controlled humidity environment may be necessary to prevent fine particles from sticking together in damp or humid weather.

Model N Granulator    1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2" (3.2, 3.9, 4.8, 6.4, 9.5 or 13 mm) circular knife spindle spacing. Blanched or roasted nuts can be granulated with minimum fines at capacities of up to 3,000 lbs. (1,350 kg) hourly.

Model CC    1/32 to 1/8" (0.8 to 3.2 mm) thick slices from blanched or roasted nuts. Condition product with heat or moisture before slicing to reduce slice breakage. Approximate hourly capacity of 1/16" (1.6 mm) slices using 15 blade impeller and two horsepower motor: 5,000 lb (2,200 kg).

Model CD-A    1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4, or 5/16" (3.2, 4.8, 4.0, 6.4, or 7.9 mm) cuts from blanched or roasted nuts. Condition product with heat or moisture before cutting to reduce undesirable fines. Use special feed drum and cutting mechanism enclosure. Approximate hourly capacity at low speed setting: 5,500 lb (2,500 kg).

Model RA-A    1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, or 3/8" (3.2, 4.0, 4.8, 6.4, 8, or 9.5 mm) cubes with capacity and requirements similar to the CD-A Dicer. The RA-A Dicer provides 3 dimensional cutting with greater waste than the CD-A Dicer. Two dimensional cutting, identical to the CD-A, can be obtained using special feed chute to bypass the centrifugal slicer of the RA-A Dicer.
